Foreign embassies in Accra contrast widely in terms of size. Whilst those of countries like the United States, Canada, United Kingdom are located in massive buildings and are open five days a week, others are housed in humble 2 or 3-roomed offices open just a couple of days in a week. Collection and submission of visa applications, interviews and other visa-application processes are usually done on only two or three of the 5-day working week. Visas for Schengen countries are mostly initiated, assisted and processed through VFS Global.
