    2. Kwame Nkrumah Park

          5. Mole National Park

          Ghana’s best safari park is the Mole National Park. Elephants, baboon, antelopes etc. and lots of pretty birds. You won’t go that far for nothing. See on Google Map.

            6. Paga Crocodile Pond

              7. Wli Waterfalls

              The highest waterfall in west Africa is the Wli Falls. It is active all-year-round and has lush beautiful scenery sweet sounds of birds all around. The hike from the site reception to the falls takes about one hour; walking leisurely, but you won’t regret the effort. See on Google Maps.

                8. Oxford Street Osu

                The Oxford Street at Osu, Accra is Ghana’s own wannabee of the real Oxford Street of London :). You’ll find almost everything being sold either in the open or in shops: art and crafts, exotic clothes, all kinds of food and drinks, etc. Locate on Google Map.

                  9. Elmina Castle

                  Elmina Castle (also known as St. George;s Castle) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built by the Portuguese in 1482 and used it as a trading center. Soon it became a major dungeon for captured slaves when the Dutch assumed control of it around 1630. Locate on Google Map.


                  10. Tafi-Atome Monkey Sanctuary

                  At the Tafi-Atome Monkey Sanctuary you will see lots of Mona Monkeys who feel very much at home in the community and even with strangers. A couple of bananas will lure them to come really close – for the perfect picture-taking opportunity. Find on Google Maps.


                  11. Boti Waterfalls

                  Boti Waterfalls is one popular tourist site – being just two hours drive from Accra. Best seen between June and September. On your way to or from, you can stopover at the Shai Hiils Reserve and/or Aburi Botanic Gardens. Find on Google Map.


                  12. Volta Lake, Akosombo

                  Akosombo town is one of the most beautiful towns in Ghana and to boot, it shares boundaries with the one and only Volta Lake. Beautiful, interesting scenes. Your camera and taste buds will be happy. Find on Google Map.


                  13. Busua Beach

                  Busua beach is surely one of the most loved beaches in Ghana. Serenity, clean lovely seashore sand perfect for sun-bathing, surfing, swimming and walks. Find on Google Map.


                  14. Shai Hills Reserve

                  The Shai Hills Resource Reserve, just an hour’s drive from Accra has zebras, baboons, antelopes, ostriches and an impressive array of birds. Locate on Google Maps.


                  15. Labadi Beach

                  Labadi beach is most of the time a low-tide beach and thus pretty safe for swimming and surfing. There many restaurants and bars and plenty of entertainment. Find on Google Map.
